After studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne, soprano Suzanne Jerosme joined Theater Aachen, where she remained an ensemble member until the 2023/24 season. Her repertoire included diverse roles such as Poppea (L’Incoronazione di Poppea), Blanche (Dialogues des Carmélites), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Manon (Manon), Despina (Così fan tutte), Bellezza (Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno), the title role in La Calisto, Maria (West Side Story), and Helena (A Midsummer Night's Dream). Notably, she performed Mimì (La Bohème), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), and Contessa di Folleville (Il viaggio a Reims).
Beyond Aachen, Suzanne excelled in international competitions and debuted at major festivals. A finalist in the Pietro Antonio Cesti Baroque Opera Singing Competition, she was invited by the Innsbruck Early Music Festival to perform Octavia in Keiser’s Octavia.
Suzanne Jerosme also made debuts in several prestigious opera houses. She appeared as the First Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute at the Opéra d'Avignon and the Opéra Royal de Versailles and debuted as Morgana in Handel’s Alcina at the Opéra National de Lorraine. Additionally, she performed Amore and Valletto in L’Incoronazione di Poppea with Ensemble Matheus.
Suzanne’s entrance at the 2020/21 Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival as Giuditta in Porpora’s Carlo il Calvo was critically acclaimed, with subsequent performances at venues such as La Scala, the Concertgebouw, and Theater an der Wien. She also recorded Handel and Telemann’s Cleofida, Königin von Indien under the direction of Jörg Halubek with Il Gusto Barocco and performed in Purcell’s Odes with Le Banquet Céleste across France.
As a concert soloist, Suzanne has performed Mozart’s Coronation Mass and Vesperae solennes de confessore with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Patrick Marco, Mahler’s Resurrection Symphony, Mozart's Great Mass in C minor and Exsultate Jubilate, and Brahms’ German Requiem, Poulenc's Gloria, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, and the role of Angelo in Handel's La Resurrezione. Her recital work includes Mozart and Handel programs in Paris and Avignon and baroque recitals with conductors Jörg Halubek and Benjamin Bayl.
Upcoming engagements in the 2024/25 season include roles such as the Angel in Handel’s La Resurrezione at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Zelmira in Armida at Hans Otto Theater, and Pilade in Traetta’s Ifigenia at the Innsbruck Festival. At the 2025 Karlsruhe Handel Festival, Suzanne will debut as Almirena in Handel’s Rinaldo under Rinaldo Alessandrini.
